Nicholas Johnson, known as ‘Suga,’ has been apprehended as the prime suspect in a murder that occurred in 2024. Johnson, 25, a laborer from Lot 90 Number 51 Village, Corentyne, Berbice, voluntarily visited the Criminal Investigation Department at the Springlands Police Station on Wednesday, accompanied by his attorney. This arrest was confirmed by Region Six Regional Commander, Shivpersaud Bacchus.Commander Bacchus stated that Johnson was informed of the allegations against him, leading to his arrest and subsequent placement in custody.The incident in question took place on February 20, 2024, at approximately 23:30 hrs, when Johnson allegedly stabbed Colen Toney, a 31-year-old laborer from Number 53 Village, Corentyne, Berbice.Reports indicate that the confrontation erupted over a dispute concerning a phone. What began as a verbal disagreement escalated, resulting in a physical altercation, after which Johnson fled the scene on a motorcycle.
