I was naive in my 20s, and not comfortable saying “no”. I was backing out of a space when a guy comes to my window and tells a sob story about his girlfriend just having miscarried and she was at the hospital and they were just trying to get home and were hungry. I told them to pull across the street to the Taco Bell and I would meet them in the drive through lane. He was SO thankful. Told me he was so hungry he would eat fried poo on a stick. I got in line at the drive through and watched them drive right past Taco Bell and keep going. Another time I offered pizza to someone begging for money in Chicago. He pulled out his other sign that said he was allergic to tomatoes. 🤷🏻♀️
