The Sensex rose 443 points, or 0.54 per cent, to close at 82,200.34, while the Nifty 50 ended 122 points, or 0.49 per cent, higher at 25,090.70. The BSE Midcap index rose 0.55 per cent, in sync with the benchmark index. However, the BSE Smallcap index ended flat.
