I love reselling my stuff on Poshmark almost as much as I love shopping on the marketplace—I've been buying there for a decade, and using it to offload my old stuff for about two years now. But just because I've been at it a while doesn't mean I know everything there is to know. I am always finding new ways to maximize my earnings while minimizing my efforts. Case in point: A few weeks ago, I wrote about PrimeLister, a third-party app that automates a lot of the more tedious parts of selling on Poshmark. Though I still use it, I'm seriously reconsidering the $30/month subscription fee after discovering that a generous handful of PrimeLister's paid features are actually available in the Poshmark itself—for free. They're just a little tricky to find and use. Here's how finding Poshmark's "bulk actions" tools have helped me level up as a reseller, and they can work for you, too.The benefits of using bulk actions on PoshmarkI have.successfully resold enough stuff to earn the status of "Poshmark Ambassador." Basically, this entitles me to a badge on my seller profile that lets people know I'm trustworthy and ship products buyers love. Only some of the requirements for the badge have to do with what I'm actually selling, though. Others are based on things like how many products from other sellers I've shared to my followers, and how many of my own products I've shared to various places on the app.All of that sharing takes time, however—you have to open each listing and manually hit share, which takes a while if you want to share the 10,000 listings that get you boosted status. This past spring, I started using PrimeLister to automate all of it and save myself a ton of tedious effort. I also used the service to send automatic offers to people who'd previously liked my listings: The app sent a 10% off offer any time someone liked a product, or I could blast out a bulk offer (say, 30% off on everything) that would notify people who had liked any of those goods. I used PrimeLister religiously and it definitely generated sales even as it helped me earn my Posh Ambassador badge. Bulk actions, I learned, are the way to go. But you don't need to pay for the privilege—Poshmark has some free bulk actions tools anyone can use.How to manage bulk actions for free in the Poshmark appInitially, I didn't put much thought into completing all of those tasks from within Poshmark itself, as it seemed like the only way to share my listings was to do it one at a time. PrimeLister's $30 per month fee seemed like a small price to pay, as it it automatically shared my listings, other people's listings, and even my products to theme-appropriate "Posh Parties" (scheduled events that create a landing page where you can feature anything you're selling that matches the theme.) But recently, I was poking around on the Poshmark app during lunch when I noticed a button I had never seen before. Tapping it truly changed everything for me as a seller: I had discovered there were bulk actions I could complete from within the Poshmark app, for free.. The steps to access the unobtrusive Tools menu are highlighted in red. Credit: Lindsey Ellefson First, here's how to find this elusive button: Start by tapping your profile on the bottom right of your screen. From there, hit My Closet, then look for the Tools icon in the upper right. (It looks like a wrench and a ruler.) That is where the bulk actions are located. From within that menu, you can access your promoted closet (if you're paying to promote your listings), deal directly with people who've liked your listings or bought from you before, share your listings in bulk to your followers, make offers to people who've liked your products, and share relevant listings to Posh Shows (QVC-style streams you can host yourself). How Poshmark's free bulk actions compare to PrimeListerSome of the things you can do from Poshmark's Tools menu replicate the services offered by PrimeLister—but both also have some unique features. What you can do on both Poshmark and PrimeListerShare your listings to your followers' home feeds in bulkSend out offers to everyone who has liked a particular listingsMass-edit listing pricesWhat you can do on PrimeLister, but not PoshmarkAutomatically share listings from other closets to your followers' feeds in bulkAutomatically send discount offers to anyone who likes an itemAutomatically share relevant listings to Posh PartiesWhat you can do on Poshmark, but not PrimeListerManage your paid promoted closetCreate bundles for users who have liked multiple listings in your storefrontManage your Posh ShowsSet up an automatic bundle discount for anyone who buys multiple itemsPros and cons of each option to keep in mindOn PrimeLister, I've set it up so that if, say, an activewear Posh Party is going on at 11 a.m., all of my Nike, Adidas, Set Active, and Gymshark listings will be shared to it automatically, without me having to do anything—PrimeLister takes care of it. Most of the time, I don't even realize a Posh Party is going on; the app just shares my relevant listings to it. While I can share appropriate listings to Posh Parties using the tools menu on Poshmark itself, I still have to do so manually by hitting Share to [name of] Posh Party, then selecting the goods I want to share from a list of relevant listings. I do prefer PrimeLister's automatic Posh Party sharing, as I can't log in every hour to check if there's a party going on. If you want to be a Posh Ambassador, you may still need to rely on PrimeLister, as there's no way to hit those 5,000 shares from other people's storefronts using the bulk actions tools. You can share all your own listings and hit the requisite 5,000 share minimum that way, but you still have to handle sharing from other closets on your own. (Honestly, though, you can hit that minimum during your one-week free trial of PrimeLister—I did.) Though Poshmark doesn't have a way to send automatic offers to likers the way PrimeLister does, it actually has something better hidden in the tools menu: The My Shoppers tab. From there, you can see everyone who's liked a listing, add their liked listing(s) to a bundle, and send them direct messages. You can send bulk offers on bundles people have made of your stuff, as well as interact directly with past buyers. Since discovering this feature, I have made a number of sales just by creating bundles and sending discounts. A few people have even just bought the entire bundle right away after I created it for them. You can't do that on PrimeLister.I'm keeping my PrimeLister subscription...for nowFor now, I'm still using PrimeLister to automatically share my listings and those of others, but I'm no longer sending out instant offers with it as I segue into using the in-app features on Poshmark instead. So far, it's going well: Between the two tools, I'm saving time, and making enough sales that I can afford the $30 a month fee for now.But if your own resales don't justify $30 per month for PrimeLister, I hope it's useful to learn that Poshmark has had a similar set of features hidden in that tucked-away menu the whole time.
