Whether in government or opposition, APNU’s Prime Ministerial Candidate Juretha Fernandes has named her picks for several key positions following the September 01, 2025 elections.Speaking at the party’s campaign launch in her hometown of Bartica on Saturday night, Fernandes urged supporters to think carefully about the leadership team behind the slate they vote for.“When you think about voting for people, you have to look at their slate, and you have to be able to identify who their Attorney General could be,” she told those gathered at the popular Futu Square.“I don’t know about other people, but I saw a guy there named Dexter Todd,” Fernandes hastened to add.She went on to identify former senior police officer Paul Williams as a potential Minister of Home Affairs or Public Security, saying: “Then you gotta think about who our Home Affairs Minister of Public Security would be, if we want to change it back, who that person would be. I don’t know about y’all, but I saw Paul Williams there.”Fernandes also proposed Nima Flue-Bess as a possible leader for the sport portfolio. “We have got to design things when it comes to sports. Nima has been there on the ground. She’s from Mocha.”Flue-Bess served as the shadow Culture, Youth and Sport Minister during the last Parliament while Todd, a lawyer, and Williams are newcomers to the political scene.Fernandes’ remarks form part of APNU’s early pitch to voters in Bartica, a key battleground where the party has historically enjoyed strong support but faces  competition. The post Juretha sees Todd, Williams and Flue-Bess in key posts after elections appeared first on News Room Guyana.
