She had a slight blip at the Curragh but bounced back impressively at Glorious Goodwood when dropped back to the minimum trip of five furlongs. She then took her chance in the Group 1 Nunthorpe at York, but that proved too big a task at this stage of her career, and it was likely all a bit much for her. Now back against her own generation, a level where she has already proven herself among the very best, she looks set to thrive once again. She faces 10 rivals, several of whom are still improving, but Lady Iman certainly sets the standard and has already shown she can bounce back strongly from defeat. Expect her to put that York reversal firmly behind her and produce another bold performance.3.00 Doncaster – Sweet William @ 11/8Sweet William returns to Doncaster bidding to win this race for the second year running, having bravely held off Trueshan 12 months ago. He arrives with strong recent form, finishing an excellent second to stablemate and 2025 Gold Cup winner Trawlerman at York. The six-year-old still shows plenty of enthusiasm for racing and, while he hasn’t managed a victory this season, this represents his best opportunity to get back on the winning trail.John and Thady Gosden have an impressive record in this contest, having landed it twice with the great Stradivarius, and will be confident that Sweet William can add another notable success to their tally. With conditions to suit and proven class at the track, he is sure to attract plenty of support. 3.40 Doncaster- Perfect Your Craft @ 10/3The Ralph Beckett-trained Perfect Your Craft is stepped up in trip today to a mile-and-a-half, having won over a mile-and-a-quarter on handicap debut. He was gradually getting on top that day and needed every yard of the trip to get up. It’s no surprise to see him step up in distance after that run, and, looking at his pedigree, he is bound to be suited by it, being a son of Mastercraftsman and with Galileo on the dam’s side.He was raised 4lb for that win to a mark of 87 and looks very appealing off that rating. He’s had a small break since that outing and is expected to improve further, having had just three runs so far. The Ralph Beckett yard is in fine form, and that can continue here with Perfect Your Craft.talkSPORT BET welcome offer – Get £35 in free bets18+ New Customers.
