The 10th-anniversary Kojima Productions event that was announced earlier this month will include a "glimpse into future projects," according to the official announcement posted on September 1.The event is called "Beyond the Strand," and it will be streamed on IGN on September 23. The event takes place at 1 PM in Tokyo, and that works out to 9 PM PT on September 22 and midnight ET on September 23. People in the UK can tune in at 5 AM BST on September 23.Kojima is personally hosting the event, but we don't know yet what will be discussed. The developer has numerous projects currently in the works, including the games OD and Physint, along with a Death Stranding movie at A24 and a Death Stranding anime.The newest version of Kojima Productions opened in December 2015, so it's coming up on its 10th anniversary. A previous iteration of Kojima Productions was founded in 2005 and existed inside Konami before Kojima left the company in 2015.The new version of Kojima Productions has released two games so far, including Death Stranding (2019) and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (2025). Kojima has said he has ideas for Death Stranding 3, but he doesn't plan to make the game himself.Kojima recently celebrated his 62nd birthday, and while others around that age may contemplate retirement, Kojima said he plans to keep creating until he dies.
