By: Express Web DeskNew Delhi | September 15, 2025 08:55 PM IST 2 min readKTR has sought mandatory removal of the defamatory content and has demanded a public apology from Sanjay and a perpetual injunction restraining further defamatory publicationsBharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA K T Rama Rao (KTR) has filed a defamation case at the City Civil Court, Hyderabad, against Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, seeking damages of Rs 10 crore for making “false, malicious, and defamatory” allegations.According to his plea, Sanjay made “baseless remarks” linking him to the misuse of Telangana’s Special Intelligence Branch (SIB), illegal phone tapping, and financial irregularities during a press conference on August 8, this year. Further, he said the remarks were widely carried across major television channels as well as social media accounts.KTR has sought mandatory removal of the defamatory content and has demanded a public apology from Sanjay and a perpetual injunction restraining further defamatory publications, a press release said.KTR argued that such remarks were made with political vendetta and amounted to a “vicious smear campaign” designed to tarnish his reputation.
