By Eric YigaPolysack Factory in Kigunga, Mukono District, is mourning the death of one of its long-serving employees, even as police investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding the tragic accident.On September 8, 2025, Rogers Deebat, 60, a machine operator at the factory, was reportedly struck by a forklift while on duty.Immediate medical attention was provided at the factory’s health facility before he was transferred in a community ambulance towards Kibuli Hospital in Kampala.However, his condition worsened en route, prompting an emergency stop at Gwatiiro Hospital, where doctors unfortunately confirmed him dead on arrival.The management of Polysack Factory has since joined family, friends, and colleagues in mourning Deebat, describing him as a committed worker who had diligently served the company.“We are deeply saddened by this loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during this very difficult time,” a representative of the factory said.Police at Mukono Division opened an inquiry into the matter.
