I can’t even lie to you,” he told talkSPORT host and former Watford striker Troy Deeney.“For us, it’s building that relationship with him early and getting ideas of what he wants to bring into the team.“When the manager comes in, you have to make sure that you get that quickly because games happen fast and there’s one coming on Saturday [away against Arsenal].“So for us, it’s just making sure we’re ready, we’re prepared and make sure that everyone just knows what he wants us to do, and hopefully apply it in the game.”GettyPostecoglou got to straight work as he looks to put his stamp on Nottingham Forest[/caption]GettyHudson-Odoi helped the Reds secure European qualification for the first time since 1995[/caption]Espirito Santo’s sacking came just four months after securing Europa League qualification last term with a seventh-place league finish. However, a well-documented breakdown in his relationship with owner Evangelos Marinakis eventually spelled the end of his tenure, with a 3-0 defeat to West Ham proving the final straw.Considering the Portuguese coach’s success, fans might expect his dismissal to have raised some eyebrows in the Forest squad. But Hudson-Odoi insisted he hadn’t been sceptical of the decision to appoint Postecoglou, as he revealed he hadn’t contacted anyone else to get the lowdown on his new manager. The 24-year-old said: “I’d rather just wait and see how he is. “As I said, it was a [tough] session! It was a session, I’ll be honest – but it was good. So we definitely had a good bond.”Hudson-Odoi added: “He had a massive impact on me. I think that it was a sad day to see what happened, but at the end of the day, excited for the new chapter as well.“I’m wishing nothing but the best for the future.”Postecoglou’s first game in charge of Forest comes away at Arsenal at 12:30 on Saturday – and it will be exclusively live on talkSPORT.
