Louisville linebacker Stanquan Clark had surgery on his lower leg and will likely miss the rest of the season, according to Cardinals coach Jeff Brohm. The 6-foot-3, 240-pounder is one of five returning starters on defense for Louisville this season. He started the past 15 games at middle linebacker, including all of last season. Clark had racked up seven tackles this season before the injury. Possibly."Clark, a Miami, Florida native, became a consistent playmaker in Ron English's defense. He earned second-team All-ACC preseason honors from both Phil Steele and Athlon, and was named to the Butkus Award watch list, given annually to the nation's top linebacker.Louisville is coming off an early bye week and will host Bowling Green on Saturday (Noon ET, ACC Network).
