But that is wood, which is a totally different thing to take down. Think about a barn where all the wood is glued together. Such a chimney was build to withstand bad weather, storms etc., and it will have either an internal pipe or is lined with soot. You have to break away the concrete which is hard work, and in the end you have some good bricks, damaged bricks and a pile of dust/concrete.
