This site delivers placebo rituals (on purpose) based on your behavior. Sort of fake it til you make it (making it means not feel pain)

I’ve been experimenting with a concept from psychology called open-label placebos — where you know it’s a placebo, but it still works. Not just in theory — real clinical studies show it can help with pain, anxiety, and stress. Check out clinicaltrials.gov, I think OLP may be the most widely clinically tested "treatment" in history. So I built a small web app that watches for certain patterns (like when you're doomscrolling), and offers short, transparent “rituals” designed to interrupt the cycle and give your brain a nudge. No deception, no medical claims, not because I cant make them (well, I can't), but because that would undermine the psychological foundation of OLPs. The idea is to give people a way to shift state using expectancy and intentionality — kind of like a mindfulness prompt, but rooted in placebo science. It’s very much a work in progress, but early users are getting real value out of it. Curious what you think: https://placebo-rx.com submitted by /u/Rikkitikkitaffi [link] [comments]
