By: Express News ServicePune | Updated: September 15, 2025 01:39 AM IST 2 min readSenior police inspector Ravindra Shelke said an artist Imran Khan from Netherlands had come to the Ballr pub for his performance on Sunday (Representative image)A group of right-wing activists allegedly held a protest at a pub in Kalyan Nagar where a Netherlands national was performing on Sunday, police said.The right-wing activists reached there to protest after a message was circulated on social media claiming that a Pakistani national was performing at the pub, police said, adding 14 activists were detained to maintain law and order situation.The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Yerwada police station on Sunday evening.Senior police inspector Ravindra Shelke said an artist Imran Khan from Netherlands had come to the Ballr pub for his performance on Sunday.Police said, Khan was a Netherlands national of Pakistan origin.After receiving information, a police team reached the spot. Police said protesters were told that the artist was not a Pakistani, but a Netherland citizen. “Still, some of them tried to obstruct the people gathered at the establishment. So the police detained 14 activists to prevent a law and order situation,” said Shelke.Police personnel were also deployed at the Ballr for security.
