Fans who tuned in to see a Super Bowl LIX rematch on Fox are not happy. That’s because the network was required to air the conclusion of the Dallas Cowboys–New York Giants game, which went the distance in overtime. At the same time, the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles were getting underway at Arrowhead for a massive clash of heavyweights.Fans turned their televisions on to see Patrick Mahomes, but got Russell Wilson instead.“Much of the country is being held hostage by Giants-Cowboy OT, while Eagles-Chiefs is already underway,” one angry fan wrote on X.“I pay for YouTube TV Sunday Ticket and cannot watch the Chiefs right now. We are forced to watch overtime of Giants-Cowboys. Refund?” another chimed in.“Really sucks having NFL Sunday Ticket but not getting to see the start of Eagles-Chiefs because Fox is sticking with Cowboys-Giants,” one more added. The Cowboys-Giants game went off the rail in the fourth quarter, with both teams combining for 41 points total.Brandon Aubrey was the hero of the day for Dallas. The Cowboys kicker drilled a 46-yard field goal on the final play of overtime for the win, after hitting a 64-yarder to tie it at the end of regulation.
