Telangana Weather September 16 | Heavy rainfall warning for nine districts

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a heavy rainfall warning for nine Telangana districts for Tuesday (September 16, 2025).According to IMDs latest bulletin, heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar and Narayanpet districts. Additionally, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur in all 33 districts of the State, the bulletin said.Meanwhile, Hyderabad and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see generally cloudy sky. “Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with intense spells, at times accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to prevail in the city during morning and night hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 29°C and 22°C respectively,” as per the bulletin.From Sunday to Monday morning (8.30 a.m.), the highest rainfall in the State was 24.24 cm in Narayanraopet of Siddipet, followed by 10.58 cm in Tupran of Medak and 9.62 cm in Madnur of Kamareddy. From Monday 8.30 a.m. - 2.00 p.m., the highest of 2.4 cm was recorded in Mudhole of Nirmal.Published - September 15, 2025 03:27 pm IST
