Samsung’s next lineup of non-foldable flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S26 series, is expected to offer three devices, Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. According to multiple reports in the past, the brand will use the Exynos 2600 chipset for the first two devices and Qualcomm’s newly announced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, for the last one. The company may also use a region-wise dual-chip strategy. However, that will be possible only if Samsung completes the development of the Exynos 2600 on time and Samsung Foundry is ready for mass producing semiconductors on 2nm fabrication process (as the Exynos 2600 uses 2nm process node). Well, it looks like the South Korean tech giant has accomplished both tasks, and it is almost certain that the Galaxy S26 series will come with the Exynos 2600 processor.Samsung to start mass producing Exynos 2600 this monthAccording to a new report from FN News, Samsung has completed the development of the Exynos 2600 chipset and Samsung Foundry will start mass producing the SoC by the end of this month. It means that Samsung Foundry is ready to start manufacturing semiconductors on 2nm fabrication process and suggests that Samsung will equip the Galaxy S26 series with the Exynos 2600 SoC.Exynos 2600's success may decide Exynos' and Samsung Foundry's futureReportedly, the Exynos 2600 will bring massive improvements over the Exynos 2500, especially in terms of power efficiency and thermal management, which is something previous Exynos SoCs weren't good at. One of the ways Samsung will be achieving those results will be by using Heat Pass Block (HPB). The chipset’s Geekbench listing shows that it also performs faster than Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple’s latest A19 Pro in the iPhone 17 series. All-in-all, Exynos 2600 could be a breakthrough for Samsung. If the Exynos 2600 stands up to people's expectations, it will show that the Exynos team is capable of making competitive chipsets, contrary to what most people say. It will also prove that Samsung Foundry's 2nm fabrication process is up to the mark, which could attract a lot of customers and bring the brand's semiconductor manufacturing business, which has been down for a while, back to life. The post Galaxy S26 will almost certainly use the Exynos 2600 appeared first on SamMobile.
