New details have emerged from the tragic shooting of 21-year-old DaShayla Jones in the parking lot of Malibu Jack’s theme park in Texas. When they arrived on the scene, they found two gunshot victims in the parking, one of whom died at the scene.Police were called to Malibu Jack’s, an indoor theme park in North Richland Hills, Texas, just after midnight on Sunday, after a call about a fight in the theme park’s parking lot. When they arrived, the police found 21-year-old DaShayla Jones dead at the scene, and an unidentified 23-year-old was also shot and transported to a local hospital. He is expected to survive his wounds.Police took three 18-year-olds into custody at the scene, and after interviewing witnesses, it was determined that two of them had nothing to do with Jones’ murder. In 2019, Jones’ sister, Muhlaysia Booker, a transgender woman, was murdered in Dallas. Booker told reporters that his kids “didn’t even get to see a quarter of their lives.” Jones was a certified nurses’ assistant who brought her son, Princeton, to the amusement park for an evening of fun when the violence took her life. The man survived his wounds. Reed was found a few hours later with what police believe was the murder weapon still on him. If convicted, Reed faces life in prison.
