Local fashion designers Artist X Parascandalo and Stache Studios’s latest venture thugs on Malta’s long-standing factions dividing our islands in north and south through caps.“Tas-Sawt” refers to the people that reside in the southern side of the island and that typically speak Maltese. “Tal-Pepè” is a label commonly used for people who typically reside in the northern area of Malta who like to mix their speech with both Maltese and English. “Int ma’ min? Ibgħatha lil sħabek tas-sawt jew tal-pepè,” wrote the minds behind the black caps with medieval script, as they invited followers to share the reel with their friends.
