The Maharashtra government has officially renamed Ahmednagar railway station to Ahilyanagar railway station, a move approved by the Union Home ministry. This follows the earlier renaming of Ahmednagar district to Ahilyanagar. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar expressed gratitude to Union ministers Amit Shah and Ashwini Vaishnaw for their support.
