Jammu and Kashmir may soon witness by-elections for two assembly seats alongside the Bihar elections. These seats, Budgam and Nagrota, have been vacant for a while. The Election Commission of India is also planning to hold elections for four Rajya Sabha seats vacant since 2021. Preparations for the J&K bypolls are already underway, with the electoral roll revision completed.
