Charlie Kirk, conservative activist and Executive Director of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), was reportedly shot on Wednesday, September 10, during a debate at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.In a graphic video circulating on social media, Kirk can be seen being struck by what appears to be a bullet while speaking beneath a tent in the Utah Valley University courtyard. There is also footage of students fleeing the scene as gunshots ring out.Kirk’s condition remains unknown. Speaking to CNBC, however, a UVU spokeswoman gave what information she could. “What we know currently is that Charlie Kirk was about 20 minutes into his presentation when we heard shots fired from a nearby building and to the best of our knowledge he was hit and taken with his security team away from the premises, and the courtyard was cleared,” she explained.Utah senator Mike Lee posted on X shortly after news broke of the shooting to say he is “tracking the situation at Utah Valley University closely. Please join me in praying for Charlie Kirk and the students gathered there.”Shortly before being struck, Charlie Kirk himself tweeted: “WE. ARE. SO. BACK.
