By: Express News ServiceAhmedabad | September 15, 2025 12:25 AM IST 2 min readBoth the victims are in their mid twenties, said the police (Archive)Two labourers were electrocuted to death and six others were injured at a tank-making factory in Tundali village of Mehsana district, on Sunday, said the police.The incident took place when the labourers were working with a crane and it touched a live electric line of a power distribution company, said a police official familiar with the matter.The police identified the two deceased as Mahato Abhimanyu, a native of Bihar and Madhya Pradesh resident Amit Arya. Both the victims are in their mid twenties, said the police.After getting information, a team from Laghnaj police station reached the spot.According to Laghnaj police, the incident took place around 3 pm when the eight labourers were working with a crane in the factory and it touched the live power line of the distribution company, passing nearby the factory wall, electrocuting the eight labourers two of whom died.The six others are under treatment at a private hospital in Mehsana.Providing details of the incident, Police Inspector P J Desai said that they have registered a case of accidental death in connection with the matter and further investigations are underway.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:Death due to electrocution
