Our Premier League Team of the Week celebrates the finest performers from the weekend’s action. The gameweek four edition featuring stars from Sunderland, Arsenal and Manchester City.Goalkeeper: Robin Roefs – SunderlandRobin Roefs is fast becoming a tremendous signing for Sunderland. Snapped up this summer after a breakout campaign for NEC, the Dutchman has settled well in English football. An excellent display of shot-stopping helped Sunderland to a goalless draw at Crystal Palace, with the 22-year-old making two smart stops from Jean-Philippe Mateta to keep the scores level. The Robin Roefs Crystal Palace saves compilation you’ve all been waiting for pic.twitter.com/zkKl0LNYrU— Sunderland AFC (@SunderlandAFC) September 14, 2025Centre-back: Cristhian Mosquera – ArsenalHow Arsenal were given a free run at Cristhian Mosquera in the summer, despite a price tag of just £13m, is becoming increasingly baffling. The 21-year-old followed up an assured performance at Anfield with another during the club’s 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest. Alert to danger, quick across the ground, and strong, Mosquera is a potential monster.Fitting right in.Another brilliant performance from Cristhian Mosquera pic.twitter.com/lERJHIprSn— Arsenal (@Arsenal) September 14, 2025Centre-back: Cristian Romero – Tottenham HotspurA captain’s performance from the Spurs skipper, who led his side to three points and bragging rights at West Ham.After seeing a goal disallowed, he registered a wonderful assist with a raking pass in behind for Lucas Bergvall to head home. Was troubled little defensively in a strong showing.Centre-back: Michael Keane – EvertonLargely written off after his release in the summer, Everton re-signed Michael Keane on a short-term deal for defensive depth. The 32-year-old is proving that signing sensible, after stepping in for the injured Jarrad Branthwaite in the early weeks of the season.Keane was solid in his work as Everton drew 0-0 with Aston Villa, reducing the visitors to just a single shot on target. Much maligned at times during his Everton career, he’s enjoying a good period right now. Two goals for the summer signing, including a peach of a volley to open the scoring against Nottingham Forest. The Spaniard is full of silk and is beginning to settle into the rhythm of Mikel Arteta’s side. He’ll be a key figure for the Gunners as the season progresses.Welcome to The Martin Zubimendi Show pic.twitter.com/uDMt4s8JB7— Arsenal (@Arsenal) September 14, 2025Midfield: Alex Scott – BournemouthGetting better and better. After an injury-hit campaign last term, Alex Scott is back at full speed and shining on the south coast. The midfielder opened the scoring in the win over Brighton with a rasping drive, and was full of invention and neat touches all afternoon.Midfield: Lucas Bergvall – Tottenham HotspurRan the game at times against West Ham in a performance that made it easy to forget that Bergvall is still a teenager. The Swedish starlet got a deserved first Premier League goal when a trademark burst forward was found by Cristian Romero’s long pass. A perfect header cushioned past Mads Hermansen was a just reward for his efforts.Right-wing: Noni Madueke – ArsenalRemember the ridiculous petition set up in the summer against Arsenal’s signing of Noni Madueke? Those are looking a little foolish now.Madueke continued on from his positive performances for England during the break with a livewire showing against Nottingham Forest. The winger can be so, so positive in possession, injecting a spark that Arsenal have occasionally lacked. He earned a standing ovation when substituted in the second half.Left-wing: Antoine Semenyo – BournemouthBournemouth lost some big names in the summer, but holding onto Antoine Semenyo could be their most crucial business. The winger has started the season on fire, with five goal involvements in four appearances for the Cherries.A calmly taken penalty made it three goals and counting, while his explosiveness on the break leads the transition threat of Andoni Iraola’s side. If he continues like this, expect suitors to return.FOUR games played THREE goals TWO assists Antoine. A dream debut saw the new arrival net the winner against Wolves, rising above his marker to head home the game’s only goal.He also won eight duels and drew two fouls in an impressive first outing in black and white. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});Forward: Erling Haaland – Manchester CityErling Haaland had the bit between his teeth this weekend, and that’s a scary sight for Premier League defences. The Norwegian netted two goals in Manchester City’s derby win over Manchester United, taking in trademark fashion.Haaland helped out defensively when required with some big clearances in his own box, while terrifying United’s backline with his combination of speed and strength.
