Police also issued a summons to her mother for obstructing them from entering their residence.According to police, the incident took place on September 13, at around 7 pm, at the signal in the Airoli area on Mulund-Airoli road. Prahlad Kumar, 22, resident of Turbhe MIDC Navi Mumbai, was driving his concrete mixer truck when it hit an SUV.Two persons from the SUV picked a fight with Kumar and allegedly forced him into their vehicle and fled. The Rabale police registered an FIR and began a probe.Based on technical evidence, police found that Kumar was taken to Pune, following which a team went there and found Kumar at the residence of sacked IAS officer Puja Khedkar.Initially, Khedkar’s mother allegedly prevented the police personnel from entering their home. The team, however, managed to enter and rescued the driver and brought him back to the city. Police issued summons to Khedkar’s mother and further probe is underway.In September last year, the Centre dismissed Puja Khedkar from the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) after the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) cancelled her selection.Khedkar was found guilty of cheating and wrongly availing of benefits of Other Backward Classes (OBC) and disability quota.
