He criticized the trend of treating English as a status symbol, describing it as a “borrowed language.” Citing examples from France, China, Germany, and Japan, he emphasized that all developed nations advanced through their own languages. “When German doctors can operate in German, and French engineers can build ships in French, why should our engineering and medical books not be written in Hindi?” he asked, stressing the importance of promoting education in the mother tongue.Referring to the COVID-19 pandemic, Vij hailed doctors as “living gods” who risked their lives to save others. He commended the media group for identifying and felicitating individuals who provided exemplary service during the recent waterlogging crisis in Ambala.
