I feel you on the email thing. My daughter’s old club team had an annual $300 minimum fundraising requirement (plus 40 volunteer hours); we just cut a check every year for the $300 because there was no way we were asking friends/family to buy stupid stuff they don’t want, and like you, we knew we were signing up for an expensive sport. Her new team is only $25/month more expensive, but there is zero fundraising (and no volunteer hours since they don’t host any meets) which in the end is actually cheaper. It’s a nice change.
