I have two dogs as well, but they are quite nervous/anxious and sometimes they struggle to get along with each other, despite living together for over 8 years. This is their house, too, and someone better be dying or being born before I’m bringing another dog into their territory. OP mentions in other comments that their dogs don’t get along with the sister’s dog. So. That’s also a thing.
