Pensioner, suspected of murdering elderly wife, found dead

Michael Raymond Haralall Tamassar, the 88-year-old pensioner who was a suspect in the investigation into his wife’s death, passed away sometime on Thursday.According to a Police release, the man died sometime between 07:00 and 09:38 hours at Bladen Hall School Compound Living Quarters, East Coast Demerara. He was last seen alive at about 07:00hrs by his son, with whom he was residing, and was discovered unresponsive at about 09:38hrs in the living room.The man’s body was examined by detectives for marks of violence, but none were seen on the exposed parts. He was then escorted to the Buxton Health Centre and was pronounced dead by a doctor on duty.The body is presently at the Memorial Gardens Mortuary awaiting a postmortem examination. Investigations into this matter are ongoing.Days ago, on December 31, Michael’s wife, Lackandai Tamassar, was found dead with stab wounds to her body.
