I went to a couple of these where the host was a chef & he would cook whatever you brought either just for yourself or something to share. What ended up happening was everyone brought extra. A couple would bring 3-4 steaks or a rack or two of ribs, a few people brought bags of shrimp or a plate of shrimp skewers or veggie kebabs & marinated tofu (prepared on a separate grill). It was amazing, the ribs were cut into singles & the steaks were sliced & lined up according to levels of doneness - rare/med rare/medium & the sides & cocktails were top notch. Probably 2 of the best BBQs I have ever attended!
