The Indian equity market opened on a flat note on Monday, January 12, tracking mixed global cues.At 9:15 am, the BSE Sensex was down 68.96 points, or 0.08 per cent, at 83,507.28. The index opened lower at 83,435.31, compared with its previous close of 83,576.24.
