Express photo)Authorities in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar district have ordered the closure of educational institutions for Classes 8 and above till January 15, 2026, in line with directions issued by the district administration. The decision applies to schools affiliated with the CBSE, ICSE, Uttar Pradesh Board and other recognised boards operating in the district.The order has been issued in compliance with instructions from the District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, citing concerns related to public health and safety. As per the official notice, all educational institutions falling under the specified categories are required to strictly follow the directive and ensure necessary compliance.The closure order extends the earlier weather-related restrictions imposed in the district, where schools had been intermittently shut due to cold wave conditions and reduced visibility caused by fog.
