The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) public examination, 2026, will commence from March 14 and will continue till April 16. and will be held from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.A total of 5,17,727 regular students, including 2,56,811 girl students, registered for the examination. Additionally, there are 10,512 private or once-failed students.The maximum number of students of 2,50,015 come from private schools, followed by 2,07,573 from government schools and 60,139 students from welfare schools.According to officials, for the first time, examination hall tickets to students will feature the exam centre location’s QR code. Also, hall tickets have been dispatched to all the schools via Speed Post and hosted on the official website http://www.bse.telangana.gov.in/ for downloading.The hall tickets can also be assigned through MeeSeva WhatsApp number 8096958096.In all, 2,676 examination centres, including 1,094 private schools, are being organised. All the centres have sufficient furniture for students, drinking water facilities, examination personnel and sitting squads for centres identified as problematic.Motivational session for Class X students by Education SecretarySecretary (Education) Yogita Rana will address Class X students of all school managements in the State to motivate and guide them ahead of the examinations. The programme to be telecast on T-SAT channel will also feature Director, School Education, E Naveen Nicolas, and an educational psychologist. The programme is scheduled from 10.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. on March 9 (Monday).Officials at the district level and headmasters at school level were instructed to make suitable arrangements such as installing interactive flat panels, for viewing and interaction during the programme.Published - March 07, 2026 06:57 pm IST
