Vietnam's Mobifone is in discussions with Chinese technology companies for its 5G network. This comes despite United States concerns over security risks. Earlier, market leaders Viettel and VNPT had signed 5G contracts with Chinese firms ZTE and Huawei. Mobifone plans to tender for advanced antennas, potentially leading to a significant portion of its network being built by Chinese companies.
