Officers from the Excise department seized 45 grams of hashish oil, 25 bottles of banned cough syrup and 70 liquor bottles in separate cases in parts of Hyderabad and Rangareddy district.In the first case, excise officials seized 45 grams of hashish oil and detained a man in Saroornagar. The accused, Shashank, was caught while allegedly selling hashish oil that he brought from Guntur. The accused and the seized substance were handed over at the Saroornagar excise station for further action.In another case, officials seized 25 bottles of banned cough syrup in the Badangpet area. Sai Balaji was allegedly consuming cough syrup for intoxication. During the inquiry, officials traced the source of the medicine to a medical store in Gurramguda.The seized bottles were examined by Drug Control Officer Vivekananda Reddy, who confirmed that they were banned medicines. Following this, accused Sai Balaji was arrested and the bottles were handed over at the Hayatnagar excise station.In a separate operation, officials of the Special Task Force (Excise) seized 70 non duty paid liquor bottles during vehicle checks at Pahadishareef. Acting on information that liquor bottles were being transported by passengers arriving on flights from Delhi and Goa, the STF-A team led by Anji Reddy conducted inspections of vehicles arriving in the area.During the checks, 70 liquor bottles were seized from persons who had allegedly bought them from Delhi and Goa.
