Authorities have also examined whether a Wi-Fi disruption or signal-jamming device may have been used during the abduction, and reviewed sales records tied to the suspect’s backpack while continuing neighborhood canvassing more than a month later. Authorities have said the backpack did not lead to a suspect. Despite Entin mentioning an internet outage, investigators say neighboring doorbell and security cameras elsewhere in the Catalina Foothills area captured limited footage the night Nancy vanished. According to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, video from nearby homes shows a masked individual moving around the neighborhood in the early-morning hours of Feb. 1, 2026, around the time authorities believe Guthrie was taken. Detectives have canvassed the neighborhood for additional footage to track the person’s route before and after the suspected abduction.
