This happens way too frequently when I take the Gautrain bus. I've lost count of all the times people have sat and stared at an elderly man or woman, struggle to remain standing on the bus during heavy traffic. Of course when I have a seat, I give it up for them. But it makes me sad that when there's an elderly couple and I give up my seat to one of them, nobody else wants to do the same for the other. Another time I had a seat and didn't notice a pregnant woman got on (I was looking at my phone) . But as soon as I saw her I got up and offered her my seat. But for several minutes before that, the several men and one young woman my age just watched her stand against the taller seats. What's going on guys? submitted by /u/Adventurous_Teach950 [link] [comments]
