Samsung has released an update for the Galaxy Watch 6. It brings the two changes. First, the official changelog says, “Terminal operation related stabilization code has been applied.” Second, it brings the February 2026 security patch to the smartwatch series. While there’s no official information about what the first change does, we assume that it is related to reliability and stability improvements. And for the second one, it fixes 37 security vulnerabilities found in Wear OS devices, making the smartwatch more secure than earlier. At the moment, Samsung is rolling out the update to the non-cellular variant of the Galaxy Watch 6 (40mm and 44mm versions) in its home country, South Korea. We expect the company to expand the availability of the update to other variants of the smartwatch and in other regions in the next few days.To check for and get the latest update, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone and head over to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install. It is worth pointing out that Samsung has already released the security update for the Galaxy Watch 7 and the Galaxy Watch 8.
