By: Express News ServiceNew Delhi | October 9, 2025 09:46 AM IST 2 min readA 45-year-old fire officer at a private firm was killed after his motorcycle collided with a Thar SUV in Dwarka while he was coming back from his office in Shalimar Bagh early Tuesday, the Delhi Police said Wednesday.The police said the Thar driver, a resident of Dwarka, has been arrested.According to the police, the accident happened at 12 am on Tuesday, when the deceased, Ashish, was crossing the Park Royal Apartment in Sector-9, Dwarka, on his Bajaj Platina motorcycle.A police officer said they received a PCR call at around 12 am Tuesday regarding a road traffic accident in front of Park Royal Apartments involving a Mahindra Thar and a Bajaj Platina motorcycle. The officer said that they received the information from the hospital where Ashish was taken.“Information was received from Aakash Hospital, Sector-3, Dwarka, that one injured Ashish, in his late 40s and a resident of Uttam Nagar, had been declared brought dead. His body was preserved at Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. His body was given to the family on Tuesday evening. The crime scene was secured and inspected. Both vehicles were seized,” the officer added.“The owner of the vehicle is someone else, and is a resident of Gurugram.
