The University of Agricultural Sciences-Bengaluru, which is the State’s first university in agriculture and allied sectors, is celebrating its diamond jubilee. The university, which has released more than 300 varieties of crops, will celebrate its 60th foundation day on Thursday.University Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.V. Suresha said the Foundation Day celebrations will be inaugurated by Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara, who is also the alumnus of the university.To mark the occasion, the university is set to present 96 awards in various categories to its teachers, scientists, extension personnel, and teachers, he said. A newly developed web portal will be launched on the occasion.University Chancellor and Agriculture Minister N.
