Here's a fun little fact you probably never thought of. Between your Galaxy phone and Galaxy Watch, there are almost a dozen ways to snooze a Samsung Clock alarm and nearly half a dozen ways to dismiss an alarm. Some methods are so direct that they could easily trick you into oversleeping and missing an appointment.I speak from personal experience. I used to be a heavy sleeper and a habitual snoozer. It's nothing to be proud of, but I've probably spent more time than the average user finding new ways to snooze and dismiss my alarm clocks short of dunking my Galaxy phone or smartwatch into a glass of water. It's not like that would've achieved anything, considering both devices have IP68 ratings. How to set a different volume for each alarm In any case, I found that, between my Galaxy Watch and my Galaxy phone, there are a whopping ten ways to snooze a Samsung Clock alarm. Can you guess them all? Well, here they are.Tap the snooze button on the phone.Press the volume up or volume down key on the phone.Press the phone's side button.Drag and release the snooze icon on the Galaxy Watch.Press the back or home key on the Watch.If your Watch has a quick button, pressing it will snooze the alarm.Rotate the bezel counterclockwise.You can also mute an alarm without snoozing or dismissing it by turning the phone upside down.As for dismissing an alarm, once again, there are several ways to do it, either on your Galaxy phone or your Galaxy Watch.Drag and drop the X (dismiss) button on the phone's screen.Drag the X (dismiss) button on the Galaxy Watch. If you have the Double Pinch gesture enabled, the pinch icon will replace the X button.Speaking of which, you can also use the Double Pinch gesture on your Watch to dismiss an alarm.Likewise, if enabled, you can dismiss an alarm on the Watch through the Shake to Dismiss gesture.Lastly, you can rotate the bezel clockwise.What you'll really want to avoid in the morningYou'll probably never end up using all of these methods to snooze or dismiss your morning alarm. And obviously, you won't do much thinking in the early morning to decide which method to use this time.In reality, you'll likely build a habit and muscle memory around one or two methods and stick with them. Whichever you pick should serve you the same.But here is a fair bit of warning from yours truly. You'll want to disable Double Pinch and Shake to Dismiss on your Galaxy Watch, or, at the very least, force yourself to avoid using these gestures in the morning.Double Pinch and Shake to Dismiss make it far too easy to dismiss — rather than snooze — a morning alarm without even opening your eyes. You don't even have to move much or lift your head off the pillow to turn off the noise. No need to look at the screen, pick up the phone, or interact with either device.These gestures are absolutely perfect for one thing: helping you oversleep. So unless you want to do that, avoid them at all costs. They can and will come back to bite you one morning when you might be feeling a little bit more tired than usual. If you have a relatively strict morning schedule, you do not want to make a habit of using these gestures.Until Samsung lets us reassign these Watch gestures to the snooze button, I wish you a new and wonderful day with every morning alarm that goes off.
