Sunday's G1 Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Daryz is set to remain a fixture in Europe's premier middle-distance contests in 2026, after the Aga Khan Studs confirmed that the son of Sea The Stars will stay in training as a four-year-old.“Daryz (Sea The Stars), who gave the Aga Khan family a record 8th victory in the Arc, will remain in training at 4 and will not race again this season,” read a statement from his owner-breeder posted on social media.“His victory at ParisLongchamp has been rated the best performance in Europe this season, with a Timeform rating of 131.”Trained by Francis-Henri Graffard, Daryz made his debut in April this year and gained his fourth victory from as many starts when winning June's G2 Prix Eugene Adam at Saint-Cloud. Prior to his maiden Group 1 success in the Arc, he finished last of the six runners in the G1 Juddmonte International at York and a narrow second to Arc also-ran Croix Du Nord (Kitasan Black) in the G3 Prix du Prince d'Orange at ParisLongchamp.Whilst the dam, Daryakana (Selkirk), failed to add to her Group 1 tally as a four-year-old, after winning the Hong Kong Vase on the final start of her three-year-old campaign, Daryz is a half-brother to a trio of Group-winning older horses in G1 Prix Ganay hero Dariyan (Shamardal), GII Knickerbocker Stakes winner Devamani (Dubawi) and G2 T.v.Zastrow Stutenpreis scorer Darkaniya (Frankel). The post Arc Winner Daryz to Continue his Racing Career in 2026; Will Not Race Again This Season appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
