Tottenham loaned Mikey Moore to Rangers, but the youngster continues to face challenges following a managerial change at the Ibrox.Mikey Moore’s loan spell at Rangers has been anything but encouraging, with the Tottenham youngster yet to make an impact.Rangers currently sit eighth in the league table, a position that highlights their ongoing struggles and the challenging environment Moore finds himself in. It is an especially difficult setting for an 18-year-old still learning his trade and adjusting to the demands of senior football.(Credit @thefrederikkejensen / Instagram)Tottenham will give Mikey Moore time to develop at RangersThe next few months are crucial for Moore in Glasgow, as Tottenham hold a clause allowing them to recall the teenager from his loan. However, according to The Standard, Tottenham currently have no plans to recall the highly-rated youngster, preferring instead to allow him time to develop in Scotland. Sides in the Championship are said to be interested in securing his services should Spurs decide to cut the loan short.Rangers’ recent decision to part ways with Russell Martin could yet prove beneficial for Moore, who has featured ten times this season, starting only six of those matches.New manager could help Moore flourish at RangersJoshua Barrie, editor of the Rangers Review, speaking to Standard Sport about Mikey Moore’s development and his time in Scotland, said that the environment has been far from ideal for any young player still trying to adapt.“It is an impossible place to develop if Rangers are not winning. The environment is just so intense, it is hard to describe to people,” Barrie explained, reflecting on the pressures surrounding the club. “In an ideal world, he comes up here, he gets bedded in for the first month and starts to contribute. The issue is, because Rangers have been such a basket case, they are relying on these guys to be the ones who lead them. That is just too much for anyone, even if you are one of the most promising talents from England.”Barrie also noted that the criticism has not been aimed directly at Moore. “The negativity has mainly been towards Martin,” he added. “It is not as though Moore is getting booed and his touches are having extra scrutiny on them. It is just been a case of everything going wrong so far and he has not bucked the trend.”Looking ahead, Barrie believes the managerial change could spark a much-needed improvement in atmosphere. “A new manager will be good because immediately the fans will get on side and it will be a more positive place to play football. “When you have got a stadium that is effectively against the team because they are so against the manager, it must be so difficult to play in. Especially when you have not played a lot of first-team football. Rangers have been so bad that even being okay will be seen as an uplift and maybe Moore can profit from that.”READ MORE: Alfie Devine is making an impression at Preston North End, and Tottenham will love itThe post Tottenham make Mikey Moore loan decision as Championship clubs begin to circle appeared first on Spurs Web.
