This morning, Disney introduced a new display in Walt Disney Presents at Hollywood Studios that showcases the new projects coming to the park, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom. This is the first opportunity for Disney World fans to see the renderings of the latest projects that will take over the parks within the next five years. Within the new displays, there were few surprises, as most fans have already seen the artist renderings, which now come alive in 3D displays. However, fans quickly noticed an omission and a change from the original concept art when it came to the new Monsters, Inc. Land at Hollywood Studios. The theater show that was in the original concept art is missing. That show was expected to take over the building that once housed Muppet Vision 3D. The sign reads: After years spent scaring us, monsters are finally welcoming humans into Monstropolis with an all-new themed land inspired by the beloved Monsters, Inc. film franchise. Coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the land will feature shopping, dining, and the first-ever suspended coaster in a Disney park. As in the film, guests will first be hoisted into the air — via a unique vertical-lift system – before zooming off on a thrilling ride through the iconic Door Vault.Credit: Pixar Animation StudiosThere was also a change in the concept art that removes a theater sign on the former Muppet Vision 3D building, lending further credence to the idea that Disney has decided to remove a Monsters, Inc. show from the new land. While the building remains in the concept art, it is unclear what will become of it. For now, it appears that Disney is making a change to the former Muppet Vision 3D building, but we still don’t know what’s going to become of it. What do you think Disney will do with the former Muppet Vision 3D building? Let us know in the comments. The post Disney Just Made a Change to the Plans for the Monsters, Inc.
