The entire Punjabi University community extends its heartfelt condolences to Jawanda’s family and fans during this time of sorrow.Jawanda was a student of the 2008-10 batch in the University’s Department of Theatre and Film Production (then known as the Theatre and Television Department).The faculty and students of the department expressed deep regret and shared their thoughts on this loss. Teachers said that Jawanda was a talented and hardworking student who achieved great heights in Punjabi singing through his skill and dedication. They added that he was loved by all due to his cheerful and friendly nature.Dr Jaspal Deol, dean, Arts Faculty, and Dr Harjeet Singh, head, Theatre and Film Production Department, of the university expressed condolences, stating that the singer always prioritised clean and meaningful singing.
