Last month, Samsung released the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The brand first offered it in Korea and then expanded the update to Europe. Now, the company is rolling it out in the US.The update is live for the carrier-locked variants of the two phones. The new firmware for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 carries version F731USQU6FYI8, whereas that for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 carries version F946USQU6FYI8. To update your Galaxy Z Flip 5 or Galaxy Z Fold 5 to One UI 8, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. One UI 8 offers a more polished user interface and more features over One UI 7, which you can watch in action in our video below.Samsung is developing One UI 8.5.
