Samsung’s customised version of Android for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, One UI, offers arguably the highest number of personalisation options among the custom versions of the OS offered by all the mobile brands in the market. One of the customisation options is the ability to change the order of buttons in the navigation bar. You can choose from two layouts. The first option offers the back button on the right and the recents button on the left, whereas the second option reverses that order, giving you the freedom to choose the one that suits your needs. Well, it looks like Google is copying this feature for Android to offer it on Pixel phones and tablets.According to Android Authority, Android 16 QPR2 for Pixel smartphones offers the ability to customize the order of the navigation buttons, as you can see in the image below. The feature isn’t active by default, and the author had to enable it manually. With Android having an in-built option to change the order of the buttons in the navigation bar, all brands that offer phones with the OS will be able to offer the feature. However, Samsung will still have an upper hand, thanks to the brand’s Good Lock and NavStar apps.Samsung’s NavStar app, a module for the brand’s Good Lock app, provides you with tons of additional options to customise the navigation bar over the ones that One UI does.
