More than 20 days have passed since Momentum submitted a Freedom of Information (FOI) request to the Ministry for Transport and Public Works regarding the covering of a large area of the Family Park at Ta’ Qali National Park with gravel. As of today, the government has yet to respond, provide documents or offer any explanation.Momentum General Secretary Mark Camilleri Gambin described the lack of reply as “unacceptable,” stressing that the public has the right to know who authorised the decision, what studies supported it, where the material came from, how much it cost, and who ultimately made the decision.“Transparency is not optional; it is a basic obligation under the Freedom of Information Act,” said Camilleri.
