Police have issued a wanted bulletin for 30-year-old Kevin Eversley, also known as ‘Chino’, in connection with the fatal shooting of 48-year-old driver Gavin Major during last month.In the wanted bulletin, Police Headquarters on Monday said Eversley is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder which occurred on September 4 at California Square, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.Eversley’s last known address is 49 Front Road, East Ruimveldt, Georgetown.Major, a driver, succumbed to his injuries two days after the shooting. Police investigations revealed that he and Eversley were known to each other.According to reports, at about 23:15 hrs on the night of the incident, Major was driving home in his motor car, PWW 1025, with his cousin, Marlon Hinds, when they passed Eversley’s residence.Hinds told investigators that they heard three loud explosions suspected to be gunshots.Major reportedly stopped, reversed, and parked in front of Eversley’s house. He exited the vehicle and confronted Eversley about the gunshots. An argument ensued, during which Eversley, who was armed with a handgun, allegedly discharged two rounds at Major before fleeing the scene.Hinds and others in the area rushed Major to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
