AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal condemned the shoe-throwing attempt at CJI B.R. Gavai as an "assault on the soul of India." The 71-year-old lawyer, Rakesh Kishore, was released by Delhi Police after the Supreme Court registry declined to press charges. Kishore reportedly acted out of anger over CJI Gavai's remarks on a plea concerning a temple structure.
